Request for Survey Participation: Help Us Finalize our Patient Navigation Tool

The George Washington University (GW) Cancer Institute is developing a free tool for oncology patient navigation programs to use to track and report outcomes. We hope that this tool can help patient navigation programs evaluate impact and demonstrate value when seeking support to sustain their programs.

At this stage, we have compiled a list of indicators that could demonstrate value and impact of patient navigation programs based on a review of scholarly articles and interviews with oncology professionals. We are interested in the opinions of patient navigators, oncology administrators and patient navigation program managers or supervisors regarding the importance and feasibility of tracking specific indicators.

We invite you to participate in our national survey to help us finalize the patient navigation impact and value tool. The
survey is part of a research project and should take no more than 30 minutes to complete. Participation is completely voluntary and information will be kept confidential. The potential risk to participants is minimal.

Interested participants have the option to provide their contact information after the survey to enter a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship to the 2016 Academy of Oncology Nurse and Patient Navigators (AONN+) Conference that will be held in May 2016 in New Orleans.
