Next week, on Wednesday November 9th, Dr. David Tran, chief
of neuro-oncology at UF Health, will be speaking about using a laser
system to open a temporary "window" in the blood-brain
barrier. This remarkable process enables crucial chemotherapy drugs
to pass into the brain for up to six weeks, in the treatment of glioblastomas.
Dr. Tran's presentation
will begin at 12:10, so please arrive at HealthStreet no later than 12 noon.
