for Breast Cancer Patients

FEATURED SPEAKER: Dr. Michelle Bishop
This Lunch and Learn session will
be led by Dr. Michelle Bishop, who specializes in Psycho-oncology, making her
an expert in the psychosocial aspects of breast cancer diagnosis, treatment,
and survivorship. She has devoted over ten years as a Research Assistant
Professor for the University of Florida Division of Hematology/Oncology, doing
research to better understand the impact of cancer and cancer survivorship on
the quality of life of survivors and family caregivers, and has developed and
tested interventions for family caregivers to maximize their coping and
resilience. Currently, Dr. Bishop devotes her time to the direct care of
patients and family members as she continues work through her private practice
and as a courtesy professor with the University of Florida.
