The upcoming Cancer
Connections cookbook, entitled Cooking
with Love, is all about providing healthful recipes using
delicious ingredients. The idea is to not only make healthful cooking and
eating a means for improving the health of cancer patients, survivors and
their caregivers....but for making it FUN,
too! Most of the recipes come directly from the monthly Cancer
Connections luncheons, with a few contributed from other local cooks.
There are even a few "not so healthful" recipes thrown in for good
measure, for those days when we all need some real comfort food.
The cookbooks sell for
$14, and can be shipped to family members and friends for $3 per book. We
can accept cash, check or money order, only.
ALL proceeds of the
cookbooks will go to the therapy-resistant breast cancer research fund at UF
Health's Cancer Center.
They will make great
gifts, so order early!
Cooking with Love will be available for sale at all future Cancer
Connections meetings and at the
Pink Pumpkin Pedal-Off
fundraising bicycle ride on October 12th.
