This webinar will take participants through using evidence-based strategies to adapt interventions. The session will include an example of how evidence-based strategies found in The Community Guide are used to select, adapt, and plan an evidence-based intervention.
After this session, participants will be able to:
Locate evidence-based strategies and interventions to address your program’s priorities.
Identify influencers of choice for evidence-based strategies and interventions.
Distinguish which elements should and should not be changed when using an intervention
Describe the balance between fit and fidelity and its importance.
Stephane Zephir McKissick is a research fellow on the dissemination and implementation team with the Guide to Community Preventive Services (Community Guide). Her primary tasks at Community Guide include helping to
refine the Community Guide website through rewriting and restructuring existing sections, as well as, developing new content and web-based tools that increase usability and clarity of the content on the website. Additionally,
Stephane has provided training and technical assistance to users of The Community Guide, including local health departments, showing them how to access and apply evidence-based strategies and interventions to address their program’s or community’s priorities.
